Asta Kamma August ❋1991

Asta Kamma August is a Swedish-Danish actor working across film, television and theatre. She graduated from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in 2017 and was selected as a European Shooting Star at the Berlinale in 2023.

Her recent screen credits include the SVT series Blackwater, Isabella Eklöf’s Kalak, Thomas Vinterberg’s Families Like Ours and the Karlovy Vary FIPRESCI winning feature The Hypnosis opposite Herbert Nordrum.

On stage, she has performed at the Royal Danish Theatre and Dramaten and is a core member of the Swedish theatre collective KonstAB.

Asta has two films premiering at this year's Toronto International Film Festival: Hans Petter Moland's Growth of the Soil and Amalie Næsby Fick's What Lies Between Us. Growth of the Soil has also been selected for Main Competition at San Sebastián.
