Iben Hjejle ❋1972

Iben Hjejle, a graduate from the Danish National School of Performing Arts in 1996, began her in the early 1990s with Mifune’s Last Song (1999) and Anders Thomas Jensen’s Flickering Lights (2000), while gaining international attention for her role in High Fidelity (2000), starring opposite John Cusack. On television, Hjejle has appeared in a range of Danish series, including Klovn (2005–2025), Dicte (2013–2016), Take Care (2025), and Secrets (2025), the latter starring opposite Pilou Asbæk.

In theatre, Hjejle latest recognitions was head prize at the Theatre Critics’ Award Teaterpokalen and a Reumert Award, both in 2024, for her performance in The Doctor at Folketeateret.
